Safety is synonymous with Global Vectra
Helicorp Ltd.
The Safety Department at
GVHL consists of professionals with over
four decades of aviation experience. The
personnel receive regular training and
up-grading of skills, which ensures that
GVHL safety practices conform to the highest
industry standards. The operations of the
company are subject to regular internal as
well as third-party audits. Every
recommendation is scrupulously implemented
to ensure that the most stringent safety
systems are in place, thus contributing to
incident-free operations
Safety Initiatives
- l All pilots undergo ground school and
simulator training at one of four places:
Bell Helicopter Textron, USA; Flight Safety
International, USA; Emirates CAE Flight
Safety, Dubai; and Eurocopter,
France/Germany.
- l All our pilots are endorsed on type for
day/night operations as well as instrument
rated. Mandatory recurrent checks are
carried out at regular intervals. Night
currency is maintained as laid down by the
controlling authority whenever contractually
required.
- l All technical staff undergo periodic
internal refresher courses to ensure
currency with engineering procedures.
- l Periodic safety meetings, internal and
with other concerned authorities, including
clients, are held.
- l All tools and spares are procured from
manufacturer/authorized sources only in
adherence to international safety practices.
Safety shop
- Approved to carry out Annual
inspection / minor repair of RFD & EAM
Life rafts.
- Approved to inspect and repair
passenger and crew life vests supplied
by EAM, RFD and Switlik .
- Personnel undertaking these
inspections are factory trained and
approved by the DGCA
