Aircraft Maintenance
GVHL’s maintenance facility at the Juhu air base in Mumbai has certification to carry out scheduled inspection of Bell-412 helicopters up to 3000 hours / 5 years inspection.
Approval of sub bases. to carry out scheduled inspection of Bell-412 helicopters are:
- Visakhapatnam - Up to 600 hours / 12 months inspection
- Rajamundry & Bhubneshwar – Up to 300 hours inspection

The Maintenance of EC-155 B1, AS-350 B3 & EC – 135 P2 are sub - contracted to M/s Indo Copters, Delhi.
Quality Department
The following are the highlights of the functionalities monitored by the Quality Department:
- Monitoring of components and their history
- Monitoring of all inspection schedules and out of phase inspection
- Defect recording and analysis (ATA wise)
- Manhour recordings
- FDR report analysis
- CVR read out analysis
- Engine condition trend monitoring
- Monitoring of inflight parameters
- Regular audits conducted by clients (ONGC, Transocean shell, Schuemberger, Hart Aviation etc)
- Preparation of MEL in-consultation with Operations Department.
- Preparation of engineering statistical report
- Monitoring premature failure of components
- Preparation of weight schedule & its recomputations
- Issue approvals to certifying staff
- Review strip reports and initiate necessary corrective actions
- Maintain Record of deferred maintenance / aircraft release under MEL

Component Overhaul Shop
GVHL is approved to carryout overhaul / inspection of following components of the Bell 412 Power train.
- Swashplate support assembly
- Tail rotor drive shaft hangar assembly / coupling.
- Hub &sleeve assembly
- 90° Gearbox (TGB)
- 42° Gearbox (IGB)
- Tail rotor hub assembly
- Main Rotor brake Quill
- Main drive shaft

This shop is approved by DGCA since last 8 years and has successfully overhauled around 200 components with a negligible failure rate
Personnel undertaking these inspections are factory trained and approved by the DGCA
Battery Shop
- Approved to carry out Overhaul & Capacity test of Nickel cadmium batteries of different manufacturers SAFT, MARATHON and Luminescent system, Inc.
- Personnel undertaking these inspections are factory trained and approved by the DGCA
