GVHL has a team of highly experienced pilots, all of whom are rated on the Bell 412 helicopter and Eurocopter. These pilots are predominantly from the defence services and possess extensive flying experience in all kinds of difficult environments. Their average flying experience is 7,500 flight hours. Cumulatively, the GVHL flight team has clocked 175,000 hours. GVHL is the only helicopter company in India to have an in-house Bell 412 training department that has been duly approved by the Indian DGCA (Directorate General Civil Aviation).

GVHL has a state-of-the-art, 6,000 sq m facility at Juhu Aerodrome, in Mumbai, which allows it to undertake deep maintenance on the Bell 412 helicopter and online maintenance on the Eurocopters. It also has a base on the east coast, at Rajahmundry, Andhra Pradesh, which is authorized for up to 600-hour checks. The facility in Mumbai maintains India’s largest Bell 412 fleet in a state of high readiness; it can carry out all checks on the Bell 412 helicopter up to and including the 3,000-hour check.

The facility is certified for carrying out the following functions:

• Overhaul of the 412 degree gear box, 90 degree gear box, swash plate assembly, and the tail rotor assembly of the Bell 412 helicopter.

CVR and FDR Readout Facility

Organisation has a CVR and FDR read out facility for all types and models of the CVR and FDR fitted on the entire fleet of Bell 412 helicopters.
